Dr Quan Ngo recently spoke with Australian Men’s Health to raise awareness about scrotal lymphoedema and the treatment options available in Australia.
As a Specialist Plastic Surgeon with overseas subspecialty training in the microsurgery and supermicrosurgery techniques required to perform complex lymphoedema surgery, Dr Ngo is the first person to to acknowledge that surgery is not the best option for early scrotal lymphoedema. However, with possible social stigma related to men’s genital issues preventing some men from obtaining help in the early stages of the condition, sometimes surgery is the only option left for patients who present to Dr Quan Ngo with advanced and debilitating symptoms of scrotal lymphoedema.
