Dr Quan Ngo has been awarded the Clinical Campus Teaching Award by the University of New South Wales School of Clinical Medicine. This award acknowledges Dr Ngo's significant contributions to medical education and his role in training future generations of doctors and specialist plastic surgeons.
Dr Ngo has been the Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery at Liverpool Hospital since 2016. He also serves as a Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon at several institutions, including Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Macquarie University Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, Sydney Southwest Private Hospital, and The George Centre.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Ngo holds academic positions as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, the University of Western Sydney, and the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University. He has been an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and the RACS Supervisor of the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Specialist Training Program at Liverpool Hospital. For over a decade, Dr Ngo has played a pivotal role in the education and training of specialist plastic surgeons, previously earning accolades such as the ‘Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons Best Teacher of the Year’.
Dr Ngo's receipt of the Clinical Campus Teaching Award reflects his dedication to advancing medical education and his contributions to the field of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.
